The automotive world is always bringing newer, more technologically advanced, redesigned versions of their top models. Not every car, truck or SUV is made equally and this year has certainly proven that. As 2015 comes to a close, we want to take a look at some of the year’s best and brightest makes and models. While this list is certainly up for debate, we looked at how each vehicle has served the consumer over the past year. Check out our top choices in luxury vehicles, sedans, SUVs, trucks and minivans for this year!

 

Top Luxury Vehicle

No surprise here, the Audi A3 is our choice for top luxury vehicle of 2015. This incredibly reliable vehicle is sleek, luxurious and powerful, speaking to the Audi name and trademark desirability. The turbocharged, 6 speed automatic engine carries this four door sedan to the top of our list because while luxurious, it also delivers an ease of use that can’t be beat. All-wheel drive and 300 HP balanced with a technologically advanced interior. It’s power with new world tech. A rare find.

 

Top SUV

Forget what you thought you knew about SUVs. While the BMW X1 is small and compact, this luxury SUV is sporty you’ll forget about the “utility vehicle” part of SUV. 228 hp, eight speed automatic engine and all-wheel drive are standard in this ruggedly handsome SUV. While it looks like it’s made for the city, you’ll be prepared to move through bad weather, rough terrain and muddy roads. Versatile interior, foldable seats, technology fueled controls and dash; this is the perfect blend of classic style and futuristic features.

 

Top Minivan

Take an epic journey in this year’s Honda Odyssey. Owning a minivan no longer means giving up the driving pleasures that you have grown to love. Honda has brought their customers the ultimate in family travel by holding on to the comfort and power you want with the cargo and passenger capacity you need. The V6 engine tops out at 120 mph but can bring you up to 60 from 0 in 7.5 seconds. Impressive for a large family vehicle. USB ports, bluetooth capabilities and an 8” information screen in the dash, rear view camera, you’ll be ready to go anywhere.

 

Top Sedan

The Mazda 6. How did this sporty 4 cylinder, 184 hp sedan slip into our list of top 2015 vehicles? It’s sleek exterior, stylized interior with passenger focused design, and exceptional list of features with an affordable price tag make it clear. This underrated sedan takes safety and comfort seriously while working to deliver on fuel economy, and creating a sleek and exceptional dash. a 7” dash display, crisp finishings and a new electronic parking brake. While this one isn’t on the bestsellers list (numbers wise) it’s a beautifully designed vehicle that deserves more recognition.

 

Top Truck

Built. Ford. Tough. No one should be surprised to see the Ford F150 at the top of our truck list. While there are some great pickups out there, there is a reason that Ford consistently tops the list across Canada. Excellent fuel economy without sacrificing power is the hallmark of a fine pick up truck and the Ford F150 hit the nail on the head. Capable of towing up to  12,200 lb and equipped with a base 3.5 litre V6 engine (other options up to 5 litre V8) this six-speed automatic and optional all-wheel drive give you all the firepower you need to get the job done. No only is it powerful, Ford equipped the cab for you and you alone. It’s more comfortable and redesigned for the passenger. SYNC technology, lane and park assist, 360 degree camera system and twin panel moonroof. What haven’t they thought of?
