Somerville National Leasing is proud to be partnering with motionball this year on Friday, February 5th at the Liberty Grand in Toronto! We look forward to visiting with all of the attendees, athletes and sponsors who support such an amazing cause! motionball is a not-for-profit organization that builds awareness and raises funds for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF), targeting a “next generation” of supporters – Canada’s professional crowd who are not defined by their age but rather their mind- set.’ This year's gala is a fun and fresh Special Olympics fundraising event that is sure to provide a good time to all who attend.

We couldn’t be more excited to get involved in this amazing cause and look forward to helping motionball put the fun back into giving. Special Olympics Canada has an amazing 38,000 athletes in its program. With 2% of all Canadians being intellectually disabled, and only 10% of these individuals being represented in the Special Olympics. Motionball’s mission is to increase these numbers through educating, building awareness, and growing funds to provide opportunities. Somerville National Leasing couldn’t be more happy to assist motionball this year in creating positive change in our community. All of motionball’s proceeds go directly to the Special Olympics of Canada Foundation.

The Special Olympics of Canada Foundation’s main goals are:

1)  Increase program participation of individuals with intellectual disability

2)  Increase recruitment of volunteers, including trained coaches

3)  Ensure the financial integrity of the Special Olympics Canada movement for generations to come

At Somerville, we believe the power of sports can be transformative and make a true difference in one’s life.
