Doing your research before contacting a used car dealer can help save you time and money. Browsing a dealership’s online inventory is a good way to get to evaluate the options and take the time to think about what features are most important to you. The more background work that you do, the better equipped you will be to make the best decision. Research topics from fuel efficiency, to how to decide if a lease or purchase is best for you, as well as everything you need to know about vehicle depreciation values. Ask friends and neighbours for tips and ideas, and get to know different makes and models of potential options by reading quality vehicle reviews and online forum advice.

When doing here research, here are a few decisions that are good to make before taking a trip out to the car lot:

Size and Type of Vehicle--You may not have a specific make and model in mind, but having a good general idea on these two basic features are important.

Top Priorities--Is fuel efficiency more important to you than a sleek exterior? Is a premium model, with all the bells and whistles, what you’d prefer or are you interested in getting the lowest price in the GTA? It can sometimes be difficult to find the perfect used car with every single desired feature, but knowing what your priorities are will significantly help the decision process and help your dealer keep an eye out on the market for you.

Age of Vehicle--Most people look at the make and model, but when looking at the used vehicle car market in Toronto, the year of the used car is important to consider especially because cars in Canada tend to be especially affected over time

Fuel Efficiency--Used car dealerships can be an invaluable resource when deciding which used vehicle is going to provide you with the best mileage. There are a number of factors to help determine how efficient a vehicle is going to be over time, and if this is something that is going to affect your decision, let your sales representative know so he or she can help steer you in the right direction.
