It's hard to believe the summer is fast approaching its end and the kids will be headed back to school soon, but when it comes to summertime in Toronto the fun doesn't officially end until the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) aka "The Ex" wraps up its 18-days of entertainment, events and activities at the Exhibition Place on 210 Princes' Boulevard.

The CNE is Canada's largest annual community event and a classic tradition for many Ontario families and adults that will occur August 21st - September 7th, so be sure to check out the schedule to see what's in store for this year! From butter sculpting and "super dogs" to a craft beer fest and culinary magic from celebrity Chef Michael Smith, there's no shortage of fun and interesting things going on for the 1.3 million people that come to visit each year, whether you're a foodie, hipster or family of six.

For those of you attending with children, be sure to check out information for parents for details about baby care centres and wagon rentals. The CNE site has also posted information about free WiFi access, discounted hotel accommodations, and a detailed map for your convenience. Rides and games are another staple of the CNE, so don't fill up on too much wacky fair food before you hit the rollercoaster!

You should definitely come prepared for the CNE this year by staying hydrated and planning out your visit ahead of time with all the information made available on the main site and ordering tickets in advance. You'll be sure to get the summertime fun out of your system by the time you're through with this epic Toronto event!
