We've Got a Winner!

Last month for Father's Day, Somerville Auto took part in the 6th annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show, located in the heart of Toronto's savvy and iconic Yorkville neighbourhood. Featuring over 120 luxury European and Asian vehicles all in one place, from Ferrari to Lamborghini, Porsche to Mercedes, the event was a great way to kick off Father's Day and let Dad see some of his favourite cars, all in one place. Every year, the Yorkville Exotic Car Show is committed to supporting charitable causes and this year, the Yorkville Exotic Car Show partnered with Prostate Cancer Canada to raise funds for prostate cancer research, which remains one of the largest and underreported cancers to date. Somerville Auto featured a 2015 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport and to make things a little more interesting, we decided to kick things off with a good old-fashioned bean bag contest. The lucky winner would get a chance to watch a Toronto Blue Jays game in style, with two VIP tickets to the game in the TD Comfort Lounge. After a radom draw, we've got a winner!

All together, the Yorkville Exotic Car Show saw approximately 95,000 people over the span of the afternoon and after last Father's Day, has now seen more than $200,000 for prostate cancer research since its launch six years ago. 

The Yorkville Exotic Car Show was once again a roaring success. Once you got to the red carpet, you could see that the cars were grouped in corrals, by brand, to show the evolution of the brands over time. At 5:00 PM to signal the end of the event, all of the cars ignited at the same moment and Yorkville sounded like an Indy race track.
