The Best Three Spots in the GTA For Winter Fun

Sometimes, winter in Toronto feels like it goes on forever.

While the snow seems to have let up, it’s still very cold and not many people are outside as much as they are in the summer months.

However, there’s plenty to do in the city when you drive a nice car, and we promise you’ll forget how cold it is! Whether you take a friend or your partner to dinner in the Mercedes-Benz E-63, or bring the whole family in the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, here are our best three picks for some good old-fashioned Canadian winter fun.

High Park Petting Zoo

Many people forget that the High Park Petting Zoo exists. While everyone else flocks to the Toronto Zoo and spends upwards of $100.00 on admission (not to mention splurging on BeaverTails), you and your family can get up close and personal with the animals at the High Park Zoo for free! From dawn til dusk, you can enjoy spending time with furry friends like llamas, deer, bison and much more! To get here, you might want to park at Kipling or Kennedy subway stations (parking is free on the weekends) and hop on the subway and get out at High Park station. From there, you’re minutes away, and you won’t have to hunt down a parking spot. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is perfect for a day trip like this one. You can pack a picnic cooler in the back of this fully-loaded mid-size SUV and not worry about siblings battling for legroom. Plus, if you happen to hit traffic on the Gardiner Expressway, the 8.4-inch touchscreen is bound to keep the kids happy.

Toronto Food and Drink Market

Everybody loves going out for dinner, but you can’t always eat at a five-star restaurant and foot the bill for a three-course dinner for two. Treat your partner to a night out at the Toronto Food and Drink Market, which runs from March 31st until April 2nd. Here, you’ll both have the chance to sample some local craft beers, swirl some wine, eat at some amazing restaurants, shop and learn from the culinary professionals. You also can’t miss out on the Food Truck Alley, back by popular demand and boasts some of the tastiest street foods in Canada. Take the BMW into the city for a romantic night out. Loaded with features from our premium package upgrade, the heated front seats will keep both of you comfortable on the drive in and the rear camera will make parking on Toronto’s side streets incredibly easy.

Canadian International Auto Show

You’ve got a nice car, so why not show it off? The Canadian International Auto Show comes to Toronto on February 17th and sticks around until February 26th. Held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, this year, Canada’s largest automotive event will feature fun for the whole family, with good food, cool cars, and tasty food. More than 1,000 cars will be there and this year, there will be a special focus on Canadian automotive history in celebration of our 150th anniversary. Whether you’re into race cars, collectibles or the luxury lineups, the Canadian International Show promises a day filled with fun. Drive your Maserati Quattroporte or your Porsche 911 downtown and feel at home among so many beautiful luxury vehicles.
